Maison is committed to supporting the local community and that is why we have pledged to share our profits this year with the wonderful organisation that is Guernsey Mind.
Guernsey Mind will be one of the two confirmed charities that we will work with this year so every time we sell a house our island will benefit in a positive way.
As a business we feel this ethical stance will give welcome assistance to a wonderful team at Guernsey Mind who strive daily to deal with the increasing issues linked to mental health.
‘At Maison we understand the need to take our well being very seriously and that is why we have taken this decision,’ said Director Sophie Hollowell.
‘As well as providing employees with a safe working environment, employers need to offer the guidance and support required in a demanding world. We are committed to ensure organisations such as Guernsey Mind can continue to build a better future for us all.’
It is estimated that two in three people will need some form of mental health support in their lifetime and this is recognised on a personal level by the directors at Maison.
‘We hope our small gesture will help,’ said Director Andy Biggins. ‘We are unashamedly devoted to Guernsey, passionate about supporting mental illness and we are proud to give something back in order to support local issues. It is vital that workplaces recognise mental health issues, and in some cases step out of the dark ages, and therefore we fully endorse the work of Guernsey Mind.’
